Hey there #plebs and #nostriches on #nostr...

Lately I've been re-reading Ayn Rands "The Fountainhead" and while the writing is good.. I've made two observationts..

1. It's not a hard read.. a long one but not a hard one - not sure why people have said it's a "hard read".

2. At the end of the data every single character just stubborn, pigheaded, lacks any growth mindset and refuses to see anything from the perspective of anyone else. Even the "hero" of the story. It's people trying to out-asshole each other in a contest of assholes. At least the "hero" of the story is an honest asshole..

Anyway.. here's a picture of a gluron..

Fountainhead is an amazing book, particularly compared to atlas shrugged

I think the book makes some excellent points.. I just find the character interactions stiff and unyielding to any other perspectives aside from their own.

That’s the point.

They have conviction in their beliefs and build great things because of it.

For Roark I agree. And I admire his conviction of character.. but in the end the book could have called Roark vs Even Bigger Assholes than Him and not been far off.

Something tells me you having reading comprehension issues.

Ah yes.. the ad hominem.. that bastion of refuge of the weak minded.

Just because someone disagrees with you does not make them any less right or you and more right.

It does mean that you lack substantive ability to defend your point of view. Typical of objectivism - the Philosophy of self-limiting intellect.

No, it means I think you have reading comprehension issues, and you’ve made it apparent that you do.

Well half your name is accurate…. I’ll give you that.

Here is a pic of a puppy. Maybe it will quell that urge of yours to render an opinion to someone who didn’t care to hear it next time.
