The medical advice thing is kinda a pet peeve of mine. Maybe a problem of phrasing. Our “healthcare” system is actually mainly about treating disease and not optimising health. Guess what, it’s actually pretty bloody good at that. I don’t know any of my doctor colleagues who even purport to know about optimising health, but nobody dies from appendicitis any more because of them.

The optimiser influencers love to shit on modern medicine with this big strawman, but they’re different games and equally as important. There’s just not as much effort (or $$) being put into researching optimising health.
