Every time I go back to Twitter (once every 2 days or so) I have to mute someone.

So much nastiness over there.

I also feel the urge to publish my muting for everyone to see.

What is it about Twitter that makes you want to publicly shame people you disagree with by broadcasting the fact you unfollowed or muted them?

Algo, and lack of zaps

Brad how are your shitcoin investments doing? Serious question.

I think its a trickle-down from the algo. Enrage post gets the most engagement thus all energy gets channled to hatred.

It is a cesspit there. I am just muting people non stop when I go there. The worst are the ones I don't even follow but show up in my timeline. It is full of government propaganda, Division and hatred there. Better on NOSTR.

I mute heavily. It doesn’t take very long for me to forget who I muted and that helps.

My greatest dilemma on NOSTR is whether to follow myself?

Regarding your question, probably just the Hero of the story syndrome.

Gotta let everyone know who the main character unfollowed.

What I can't get over is that although Nostr is uncensored entirely, I see none of the nastiness of war, porn, death etc. over here. The viral video component that came with the Xitter engagement for payment algo seems to have been a net negative, despite there being more features like streaming etc.
