Yes i do. And i switched to the jade myself. But i think it’s not good for newbies to just say „don’t use ledger“. I think it scares many people because if something with this good reputation isn’t good, what will be? Do i have to put much more effort in now to find something good before i can trust a hardware wallet? And so on…
I think it is ok to use a ledger if one already has one or is starting with bitcoin rather than leaving funds on exchanges. I think the deeper one dives into bitcoin, the further he will automatically get away from ledger with time. Like me 😅
Jade is just as simple as Ledger... and it's ONLY Bitcoin. Why start off with Ledger, at all?!

Because newbies don’t know jade. Or coldcard. If you are just discovering all this, you start with the things that are most talked about or most recommended in the „crypto space“. And ledger puts a lot of effort into advertising. I myself only learned about the jade after i joined nostr in February. And i discovered bitcoin in 2021.
Try to get into the shoes of a newbie. Google bitcoin hardware wallet with e fresh browser or look it up on youtube.

Unfortunately i have made the experience that most people always seek the way of least resistance. I think to gain mass adoption the hurdles to get in must be low, not high from the beginning. Just my completely noob opinion 😅
