Yep, I remember from nostr:npub1a6c3jcdj23ptzcuflek8a04f4hc2cdkat95pd6n3r8jjrwyzrw0q43lfrr's chat on nostr:npub14kw5ygpl6fyqagh9cnrytyaqyacg46lzkq42vz7hk8txdk49kzxs04j7y0 that the centralization of media hosting is still the missing link in creative sovereignty. I’ve always wondered if there would be a viable decentralized solution that would work for this.
I’ve been wanting to see that happen for years. I think it’s possible, but needs more stability to scale than what’s currently available to us. Only a matter of time.

FanFares.io, Fountain.com, and Wavlake.com all support Podcasts and are all Nostr apps. Which one is best is subjective as they all have slight differences and unique features. Wavlake lets you upload the audio files directly, making that task easier. Fountain is a full blown Nostr app. FanFares has unique value for value per episode subscriptions.
