I just watched the Netflix documentary "Bitconned". It's understandable that Netflix released (or advised) the documentary on #bitcoin birthday.

Centra Tech was supposed to be a debit card for crypto, a way for people to use their virtual coins like real money. But it was all a lie. Ray and his partners, Sorbee and Robert, made up everything: the website, the team, the endorsements, even the card itself. They used fake profiles, Photoshop, and paid celebrities to trick the investors. And it worked. They raised millions of dollars in their initial coin offering, and they lived like kings in Miami.

But their luck ran out when a journalist from the New York Times exposed their fraud. He showed that Centra Tech was nothing but a scam, a hoax that took advantage of the greed and ignorance of the crypto community. Ray and his partners were arrested by the FBI, and faced charges of conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering. They lost everything they had, and they betrayed everyone who trusted them.
