Now that I'm off twitter I have zero exposure to the news cycle. But I'd like just a tiny scoche. Any suggestions? I want something that's 1. brief and 2. balanced, but also real. I followed readtangle.com for a while but couldn't stand the rationalizations.

Real govenment encroachment (like those IRS things earlier this week), basic understanding of the "current thing", economic stuff (although I already get enough of that), local happenings.
