Yes, finally got it to sign a transaction after taping it like 200 times

“taping”?

Yes it uses nfc to communicate with your phone

I dunno man. Hardware fails

Yes, only had a little in there, was able to recover it. Won’t use it anymore

use a #seedsigner and be happy 😁

Seed signer?

Krux is also a great foss project. but the seedsigner ux is just awesome

haven't tried seedsigner myself, but found krux to be pretty good too!

I’ll take my chances with hot wallets like nostr:npub18q57qr3t07qljnapzqldaqa7ru2qwfpfnjdrwvhk327n3sc82f0qqwrs6f

Bitkey is a good wallet for beginners, or as a spending wallet. Probably not the best for long term cold storage. As long as you can handle keeping your keys safe there are better options. Some swear by Jade, others by coldcard, and some really like the passport. Seedsigner is an open source option that is quite popular.

I personally do have a Bitkey for a spending wallet. I have been using it since the beta test, and it has been flawless for numerous transactions. They have great support too, nostr:nprofile1qqs2sr7y57rrfm3x4272e9gmfn7hk44wrzat6v794lw0d0kkmjqwh5gpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqzynhwden5te0dehhxarjve6kutnrdakst0lgry should contact them, they will surely sort out his problem. As for the other options, I can confirm that both Jade and seedsigner work well.
