One example would be advertising that one self hosts everything and only buys zero KYC bitcoin. That's great and all but it can alienate people who are not as tech savvy or don't have the resources.

Never too late to start figuring things out. That's why @qna makes both amazing guides and promotes self-hosting & non-KYC. That's what people should strive towards IMO.

I'd say it's an ideal end state for those with the means, but it can't be an expectation of the average person. There has to be a middle ground somewhere, which is perhaps where things like Fedimint might play a role.
