💯 that's my next step after my rooted customized tweaked oneplus retires. I'm attached to it lol. Used to run CyanogenMod on all my phones way back, remember? Ahhhhh had everything years ahead hahhaa. My next stop is GrapheneOS fullstop.

I miss bricking boot loops and restoring them with some factory flash lollll

Graphene ups the security and using it with Google play sandboxes it so you have full control over what you allow. On top of that security updates extremely quick.

So you mean you have the microG package with minimums, or just Play sandboxed? Yet to see it

No, microg is terrible from a security standpoint. If you want play services they're optional on graphene and graphene has a compatability layer that stops Google from having priveliged access on your phone. You control every permission Google play has and can deny anything. Also has customizable storage scopes so you can specify a folder on you phone that an app only has permission to access, can't access any other files then. A ton of great features.

I had a feeling. Been a while. I juat de-bloated my oneplus. So forgot but I suspected microG is full of crap too lolll

Yea reminds me on cyabogenmod permissions, except modern and better Lolll Niceeee. I def want itttttt and know what to do. International google pixel right? Or they only have one... for latest

You just need an unlocked pixel 4a to 7 pro. I bought a refurbished 6pro for under 300 USD from backmarket. They're a great refurb market and have a no questions asked return policy if there is something wrong with the phone or its not as described.

Main issue is the overconsumption model makes perfectly good old phones useless to use securely since security updates are no longer provided after a few years. 🙁

Which is why a newer pixel with 5 years of guaranteed security updates is a good choice when it comes to graphene os. I believe the policy started with the pixel 6

Yeah probably the best we'll get until a competitor comes along

I developed a rom for the HTC Thunderbolt way back when. I know what you mean. I got out of rooting a while ago as it's usefulness declined as phones became more capable.
