I've got one and I've been running Ubuntu 22.04 without any compatibility issues 👍

How is the build quality?
I would like to know how they compare to a Thinkpad.
I don't know how it compares to a thinkpad, but they are very easy to take apart and replace parts. I think its just 5 screws to remove the bottom
Thanks 👍
i never heard of this thing before but i want now

You can always reuse the old mainboard:

The pleb's OS.
My first one and still using/loving it.
The best thing about Ubuntu is I can wipe any of my systems. reinstall the OS and be back up and running in a day without needing to mess with config
For me It's the messing with the config and easily reinstalling it. 🫠
Awesome for learning.
Does Ubuntu have some custom migration tools, or are we talking about generic dotfiles?
yeah, i'm in the middle of needing to do such a migration but i'm just using the same version and should be able to migrate most of the files just need to install a couple things
most of my infra is built from go source code so worst case i have to install #golang and "go install" et voila
one day, there will be an OS that is built on go, for everything, and you will literally be able to install it from a 300mb install image in under an hour all built from source code except kernel and initial environment
is it hackintoshable?
