On August 7, 1974, French tightrope walker Philippe Petit performed an amazing feat by walking on a tightrope between the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York, at a height of more than 400 meters, and without any safety measures.

Petit planned this dangerous adventure for six years, and used a team of assistants to smuggle the necessary equipment and secretly fix the rope between the two towers.

Petit walked on the rope for about 45 minutes, walking, sitting, and even kneeling amid the astonishment of passersby and police teams who tried to convince him to return.

This historic moment remains a symbol of courage and madness at the same time, and was documented in a documentary film entitled "Man on Wire" and a movie entitled "The Walk"
