### **Dance Battle Festival: Where Bitcoin Met the Beat**

On **March 31st, 2025**, Arusha came alive with rhythm, movement, and innovation at the **Dance Battle Festival Pop-Up** — an electrifying event that blended creativity, culture, and Bitcoin technology in one unforgettable experience.
This wasn’t just another dance showdown. For the first time, we introduced **P2P Entertainment**, a new way for audiences around the world to **send Bitcoin directly to the dancers’ wallets** in real time. Instead of applause being the only form of appreciation, every spin, flip, and freestyle could now earn instant sats from the viewers.
The atmosphere was electric. Local dancers brought their best moves to the stage, and in May 2025 with we launched the **DANCE BATTLE FESTIVAL WATCH PARTY**... while the audience came ready with phones out, Lightning wallets open, cheering and tipping their favorite performers live. Each dancer’s QR code appeared on screen, allowing fans to **tip instantly, peer-to-peer**, with no middlemen or waiting times — just pure connection between performer and supporter.

This experiment wasn’t only about fun (though there was plenty of that). It was proof of how Bitcoin can empower creative communities — giving artists new ways to earn, fans new ways to engage, and everyone a glimpse of a decentralized future for entertainment. From local dancers in Arusha Tanzania to online viewers around the world, everyone could take part in the action.
However, one challenge quickly became clear. Many of the dancers did not have smartphones and couldn’t download a Lightning wallet app. We needed a way for them to still receive Bitcoin directly, simply and securely. That’s when we discovered [Coinos](https://coinos.io/)— a web-based Lightning wallet that allowed every dancer to access their own wallet through any browser. It was the perfect fit for this project.
