Sometimes I think it is taken for granted that the default nostr experience is largely integrated with bitcoin and that only a couple weirdo crypto projects have even attempted something similar.

Everything else is a larp. Nobody wants to actually utilize the crypto they hold, because they largely don't even hold it themselves, and the notion of giving it away is as odd as showering strangers with your own casino chips.
