I would take a post like this more seriously if it was said by people who also mention when the same thing happens to people they do not support ideologically. But there's often silence tbh.

It's bad because it's happening to my friends, but good when it's my enemy, seems to be the pattern, often. Perhaps not in this specific instance (I'm not sure). But it is very often the case.
I don’t take it seriously when people say like this is the “start” when Obama deported an insane amount of people. More than any other previous president. We were literally calling him the “deporter in cheif”!! So I agree with you in the sense people only care when it’s their “team” so to speak. Like wdym “it starts with” referring to anything going on now??? Like thanks for tuning in years behind everyone else and then trying to tell the people you largely ignored what they already know 😡 now that you finally decided to care 🥲
The first time I was old enough to vote I voted for the deporter in Cheif and I felt very betrayed tbh!!! Full disclosure and all that!!
