I've been working to get up to speed on woodland management practices. This weekend, I was able to attend a nearby woodland workshop put on in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, and that Ozark woodland property showed similar processes happening after nine years of careful thinning and prescribed fire. The difference is remarkable.

If you live east of Springfield, MO, there is an effort to get a prescribed burn association going for our area that looks like it is going to get some traction this year!

amazing

I'm hoping nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n will do a TSP episode one day on prescribed burns. Granted it is a bit esoteric and the details can be different in different climates, but it should still make an interesting episode and get people started thinking in new directions. There are several people with the Missouri Department of Conservation who would be well qualified to do a show, here's hoping someone steps up to the table.
