I see the term ‘conscious agency’ being a much less contentious term than ‘sovereign individual’. In short, I want a technology that can extend my own conscious agency into the network without it being high jacked by a platform. This is a very McLuhanesque take, and is a more constructive position than ‘I am a sovereign individual who wants to f*** the state.’

Conscious agency is also a useful counter to #AI. No matter how intelligent’ AI gets, it has no conscious agency. For that matter, there is no satisfactory scientific theory for conscious agency but we all know it exists, just by looking at each other.

As I said in my earlier post, I am not too fussed about the nature of conscious agency; I am more concerned (excited) about extending my own conscious agency into the network without it being hijacked.

So far, #nostr protocol is the perfect fit, and I can contemplate building solutions like #nostr #safebox that I could never dream of in the user-platform-think world.
