Did you play the other games in the franchise before this one?

It used to be a pretty niche thing. Nobody in the fandom expected the game before this one to get a sequel, and we sure didn't expect it would be both fun and popular. So now my little niche interest got real crowded and idk how I feel about it lol

I played Replicant and did some research on the Drakengard games. Post Automata has been disappointing though, a fucking exclusive mobile game and an Anime that was doomed to not be able to live up to the game's depth.

Automata truly was Yoko's magnum opus.

Yoko’s insistence on making everything canon is really what ruins the franchise as a whole. It's the same issue as Nomura's KH.
