I was not familiar with the concept of open banking, so I just looked it up. Am I understanding correctly that it’s essentially banking with less privacy? Because the way I read it, who would ever want this?

It sounds like the same old banking just interconnected via APIs for convenience.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean a larger honey pot for hackers.

Supposed to offer near instant settlement so no need for Bitcoin anymore.
