I used to look up to many of these people too; having gotten even the smallest peak “behind the curtain“ in the bitcoin industry has been disheartening.

yeah its pretty gross. I just unfollow them all now and focus on coding and building connections with people who are real and aren't just here for the money, influence, and propping up their friends companies and investments.
