I think it's the system and the incentives it has. Ratchet only goes in one direction unless there is some big event that breaks it. The resistance of the big bureaucracy is enormous. And people like the handouts. Many like the big state. Only the taxes "others should pay more in taxes, not me!".

in usa,canada, most of europe, eu, brazil, oz the satanic central banksters have put the most idiotic, most psychopathic morons they could find into those positions with fake electronic elections. absolute imbeciles who could never find a different job, they could not even work as a janitor. and the other selection criteria was, that they must be psychopaths who are ready to torture the people in their country with all kind of made up hoaxes.
It's all the same thing. Central bankers and politicians.
I know that hardly anyone is interested to hear what some small country political situation looks like. The point of my note was that it doesn't really matter how many politilal parties there are or even how you vote. The outcome is very similar.

Have to research the lightning wallets some more before joining the zap parties. So far it's:
Wallet of Satoshi - custodial (meh), but simple and compatible with zaps
Alby - many options from the simplest custodian to full blast, c
Phoenix - good, but is it zap compatible?
Electrum - I have the desktop version installed, just not with segwit addresses (with balances) so the ligtning functionality there is greyed out... I doubt it's zap compatible too...
I really need to do my research on this and it will take some time.
You can always use wallet of Satoshi as temporary and send funds over to custodial.
It at least gets you started with zapping 😉
