If you are looking for incentives, stay on Nostr and bring value. Your daily zaps could outweigh by far 1 full year of your node revenue.

You run an ln node for selfish reasons, to have your own keys to your own channels to make private payments that can't be stopped. The incentives are in place to make it in your own interest to do it!
Routing fees are just peanuts and not the reason to do it 🫡
Enabling to world to route LN transactions by you locking up min 10M sats per channel with no expectations of return is in financial terms a bad investment.
I agree that it has technical advantages to do so but most are not incentivized by this but rather one day have a better life via sound capital allocations.
If we support the narrative "everyone will run a LN node at home" then the financial incentives always prevail. Running such a node comes at a cost: time and money.
