TempleOS is a very unique operating system created entirely by one person, Terry A. Davis, over the course of about 20 years.

🔹 Key points:

• It was written completely from scratch by Terry.

• It uses its own programming language called HolyC (a C-like language).

• The interface looks like old DOS-style systems, with very simple 16-color graphics.

• Terry believed he was building a “temple for God” on the computer, so it has a strong spiritual/philosophical aspect.

• It’s not really practical for modern daily use (no modern internet, apps, etc.), but it’s considered more of an artistic and philosophical project in computer history.
