property tax does not make sense, neither does corporate or income tax for that matter.
state tax makes a bit more sense - id argue it should be zip code or residence tax.
you pay for the firefighters, law enforcement, waste managers, and old/disabled people in your community. they live near you, your kids are friends with their kids, and they help make life safer and cleaner around you.
and when i you don’t like how a zip code handles their business, you can gtfo and vote with your money.

No thanks, the only taxes that make sense are on stuff like gasoline and cigarettes where the less you use it the better you're doing
oh yes im all up for it. taxation is theft and should be voluntary.
but what about cops, firemen, waste-men, also handy men like when the power goes off in your city or something needs fixing… who’s problem is it?
cigarettes: must be taxed at the manufacturer to incentivize a better quality product.
same for any consumer product: if you choose to reduce your costs using shitty ingredients and harming your customers’ health, you pay more taxes for doing so.
Cops shouldn't be funded by taxes or necessarily even exist. Firemen can be funded by taxing fire hazards. Garbage men can be funded by taxing plastic if you want, I guess. Etc
