It is indeed. I’ve heard people say autistic burnout is a disability on top of the disability of being autistic. Regardless of the semantics, I experience it as an intensely challenging storm to surf. Hope you find some rest and recovery!
Been reading a few articles lately about burnout vs autistic burnout and … fuck. I thought I was just experiencing regular burnout as an autistic person.
I'd say I'm definitely experiencing that, but apparently autistic burnout is a whole other thing *on top of that*.
