The better solution would be to make everyone bring their own cable (and a socket on the station). Most EV owners already have a mess of adapters, having each their cable wouldn't make that much of a difference.
That'd add a lot of weight though.

It's a car, not a bike. You don't have to optimize every kilogram. How much could a clabe weight? Even of it was 5 kilograms, it's still nothing
