the problem is Lighting is too complicated for the average person to run a non-custodial wallet. we are getting better all of the time :) nodes running on your phone help with this, but channel fees are also a bit confusing too.

Yet the appear to be a constructional false core in design here that makes the need for redundant complexity, and that’s not a criticism, but a mere observation.
Difficult to justify for the average person a need here to purchase in this case sats to start with unless into economies which require morale discretion, and already there the complexity is serving deviance by definition.
What #mainvolume is suggesting and making possible is to generate the value, not by reinventing the wheel, but as this particular user case would need to make use of such wonders of engineering is creating value which is independent from user’s ability to claim as their content and their actions.
This changes the dynamics of need, demand and supply.
When earning value on the other hand, and that value will make use of the bridges and wallets in place, for both platform interaction, and justification to build bridges to conventional outlets to cash earned which lightning and such platforms will serve and thus have immense value as well, rather than only redundant complexity to reinvent the wheel.
