At Julian Assange's extradition hearing, lawyers posed the pivotal question: how can exposing crime and torture be worse than committing them?

It's worse because those who commit the crime and torture do it for the greater good, and exposing it can hinder their ability to commit crime and torture. It's the obstruction of injustice.
