Bitcoin, or monero. Especially, if y'all work together and go in on equipment. You could power it off solar. It could be something that the family manages, maintains and expands. You connect it to a lightning node that you run, then do split payments to all family members. Just a thought.
Bitcoin mining is ABSOLUTELY not profitable. Where I live .. it is cloudy 55% of all days.
Monero intrigues me .... not to store wealth but it seems to have great privacy features when used with its big brother Bitcoin.
Meh, I mine fiat .. he knew the deal .. I told him till I was blue in the face as he suffered from that insane workload. I constantly encouraged him to quit if he was not happy there and doing that academic shit.
He could have joined my trade , lived at home for free and stacked 5 Bitcoin by now. He has consistently chosen THE SYSTEM.
