the “best” nostr app will never exist

Agree 100% except for one thing. Damus is the best app.
There will never be a single “best” Nostr app.
The right tool depends on your use case, technical comfort, and threat model.
The more options users have, the better.
As the ecosystem expands the more builders will build.
Nostr is building the trunk to branch out everywhere 💪💪💪
Well, yes
More rug tech = more chances of rugging users 👀
Primal is the ETH of nostr, shotgun KYC wallet, that can be linked to your keys, what could go wrong? 👀
More options sometime ≠ good for users
The more options, the higher the threat model. Saturation of options can lead to disregard of security and half assed UX in favor of delivering new features to be "the best."
that’s not how threat modeling works but yes there will be shitty options since people can build on nostr without permission
using open protocols effectively requires personal responsibility
But don’t you fucking dare use a caching service… or give users a great UX… or features they actually want to use… as long as you don’t do those things then it’s a good nostr app.
Damus >>>>
Woow strong words
Incorrect. The first actually good nostr app will be best when it comes out and possibly remain best for a long time
Still just hoping Primal and Damus work like they use to
Can you elaborate on what isn’t working as well in Damus currently?
The app hasn’t opened in 3 days. Hit button, looks like it’s opening and closes immediately. Again and again and again.
Responding from Primal
Maybe you already did but, have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling?
Thank you Damus people for caring, and helping.
You open to sharing damus IPS crash logs?
Do you have your nsec backed up?
