Agree, although I have found extremely challenging to onboard new people to #crypto (everybody has heard of it). I prefer to focus on helping current users to have better security/privacy practices. New people will onboard to crypto only if they understand the flaws of the current monetary system and the imminent risk of #CBDC. Also, I find #Goldback to be a great conversion starter (you can easily tip someone who has never heard of it) and a potential gateway to crypto.
Discussion
I pretty much follow the same routine with onboarding friends and family, usually after a number of quick discussions.
1) I have a 12 word seeds with hundreds of passphrases all preloaded with bitcoin. If they lose the app then the sats aren't burnt as I can recover for them.
2) I get them to download an appropriate wallet and give them the seed and passphrase.
3) I periodically send them sats and usually receive a message saying "where did these come from"?
4) Those that go down the rabbit hole I help them with buying a small amount of #monero from their bitcoin wallet.
And the cycle goes on. If you give people the tools and a little rational information you can turn them on to #bitcoin.
