Replying to nobody

I believe if we confiscated all wealth and redistributed it equally, within 10 years the distribution curve would look almost exactly how it does now, and within 50 would be basically identical.

It would be much quicker. The vast majority would be convinced of something like "your newfound wealth isn't safe from your neighbors, we will hold it for you 😇"

I’d say the vast majority of people would blow their money in a matter of weeks, and there’d be the ones with discipline (<1%) who’d be holding it again.
