Depends on the unit it has been measured by. Total testosterone is measured in ng/dL and free testosterone is measured in pg/ml or something else.

Free test is the more important value for athletes, because it shows you how many testosterone is really available for you to bind on receptors that are responsible for building muscle.

Low total test or high test doesn’t mean you build muscle faster or slower.

can free Testosterone be measured with a blood test as well?

And can we assume, that an increased total Testosterone by 30-50% would have a positive impact?

Yes it can, ask your endocrinologist 👍

Increased total testosterone can have a positive impact but not necessarily. It depends on how high your free test is. It’s a bit complicated, but if your body doesn’t use the additional testosterone it will convert to estrogen via aromatase.

The higher your test and the higher you free test, the better 👌
