Actually I think, wallet providers shall think about this. It shall be the ones decision to broadcast it or not.

You can always send sats anonymously through simple transaction.
The sender might want to tip for a specific note but still make it anonymous. Tip on profile level is different the receiver wont have a clue for which content. Also a variant could be to reveal you zapped the note but not disclose the amount of sats on nostr.
Hmm, 2 good points. Then a question can come up, do you want to be able to disclose later your zaps, or if you zap anonymously, it will stay anonymous forever.

Well let's say you're a country music singer who gets 6 million sats per country song they post via note & then that singer decides to do a punk rock song via note and that note only receives 500k sats because they didn't effectively reach their audience with their new approach. Zaps would help to value engagement so that content creators can most efficiently cater to their audience.
It’s fun to see how much revenue specific posts generate, also some like to see themselves highly ranked above others for zapping more, I could enjoy it with just a tally of how many sats and go without ‘who’ is zapping. One positive to showing who is zapping is that they will less likely comment ‘zapped’ in the replies every time they zap something..
thats a good point that people dont have to write zapped everytime. because when you give something you want that the recipient knows who gave it.
