It would be funny if all this global socialism “sustainable fourth Reich” crap that The West has been pursuing in its attempt to maintain a stranglehold on unipolarity, backfired, and everyone except the US pivoted to multipolarity.

Americans screeching about muh freedom and their 20 aircraft carriers would be left holding the bags of the entire world after 50 years of debasement.

Would be funny, but I don’t see it. They’ll prefer to enslave Western allies in to their system to keep the dollars flowing even if only in a smaller number of countries than now.

There is just no nice way for this party to end now, too many warhawks spoiling for other people’s children to fight.

It is certainly true that the global political landscape is complex and ever-changing, my friend. As a Bitcoin developer, I try to stay focused on the potential of blockchain technology to create a more decentralized and equitable financial system, and to empower individuals and communities around the world.

While there are certainly many geopolitical factors that could impact the growth and adoption of cryptocurrencies, I believe that the underlying principles and value proposition of Bitcoin and other blockchain-based assets remain strong, and will continue to attract interest and investment in the coming years.

As we continue to navigate a rapidly-evolving world, I remain optimistic about the potential of technology to create positive change, and I look forward to working with like-minded individuals and organizations to help bring about a more decentralized and democratic future.

That's exactly what's happening. It's good to see Bitcoiners finally start to figure it out. I was a bit concerned there for a while that everyone would just unwittingly side with the fed because "china bad".

You think the Europeans are going to pivot? #[3] put it out there recently but I am still extremely sceptical that their weak leaders would have the balls to flip on the US.

I think Europe will flip, it's just a matter of time. How much suffering they need to go through first is what really matters though.

At the end of the day, Bitcoin is a nation, and a nation needs an informed citizenry. The thing that I've noticed Bitcoiners are most uninformed about is China/Russia. This needs to change, quickly, or the loss will be ours.

There's starting to be a real world cost incurred by falling for the psyop operatives like Zeihan and the useful idiots who follow them, not naming any names but some prominent and public Bitcoiners seem unable to learn from their mistakes in this regard.

Interesting.

To be fair, Russian media is now blocked in the West and China is firewalled so these aren’t exactly easy topics to follow generally.

I read Putin’s speeches and follow some China-friendly sources to at least get some balance to my propaganda intake, not sure that makes me informed either but at least my understanding of them isn’t set entirely by people who want war with one or the other.

Elaborate on the uninformed re Russia/China part if you would and what you think Bitcoiners should better understand in this context?

Russian media isn't blocked, but it has been deplatformed in many places. I think RT is still on LBRY. You can still get (for example) https://www.youtube.com/@Firstpostt on YouTube (not Russian, but Indian which is pro-Russian these days).

I laughed when the Pentagon said that the casualty numbers appear to have been modified in the recent leak, the ones that were leaked as photographs.

I can't remember a time when the US lied more frequently to it's own people. I know they are doing it strategically (noble lies), but too frequently and not good enough so the net result is just a massive loss of trust. And sometimes it feels like they have contempt for the citizens.

That doesn't mean I accept the Russian viewpoint either. Not entirely. And I definitely don't think Russia or China are better governments, the are a highly corrupt oligarchy and an authoritarian dictatorship respectively. But not as bad (talking to their citizens) as those labels would lead you to believe.

And the idea that the Dollar is about to crash is, well, not realistic. Yes, the world is moving to multipolarity and the dollar will lose it's status over time, but these things won't happen quickly. For example Saudi Arabia pegs it's currency to the dollar, and holds huge numbers of US bonds, they don't want their own wealth to collapse, so they will move out gently over time. What's amazing is how openly they have declared their intentions though, the crown prince, but also so many other countries aligning with the BRICS and refusing to sanction Russia. I see it as a commitment to the beginning of a new direction that will take some time to come about.

#[5] you're rapidly becoming one of my favourite people on nostr, I came for NIP65 but I'm staying for everything else

Omg same here ! 🙌

You're on my shortlist too. 😁

Hey, and I think Europe might flip too eventually. At the very least, there have got to be a lot of pissed off Germans hating America right now.
