My campus minister once explained it as us being like coffee. Hot coffee is good, ice coffee is fine. Nobody likes luke warm coffee. If we're cold now, we still might let God save us some day. If we're Luke warm in our faith, we'll probaably head along on "meh, i'm doing good enough" for the rest of our lives.
