out of the loop, what's going on?

Lawrence leopard got banned on X. Came crying to nostr. That's fine, first time is free. Then he gets reinstated and dissappear from nostr. Now he's banned again and guess who's back?

Something something buzzbot. Seems like a hell of a scam vector. Marty bent starting some bounty and not paying the invoice so ppl getting rugged.

And I hate to say it but this hits close to home since I'm in the music biz but puzzles (who i consider a friend) built a spotify bot. Sigh, we have v4v music. Why not build for that instead?

That's what I saw after 10 minutes of scroll today.

When everyone can post anything they want, don't be surprised that they do. My two SATs.

Yeah freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence. Ill call it out when I see it. Just cause you can doesnt mean you should.

Bitcoiners of all people should stand on principle.

Are you not gatekeeping being a Bitcoiner by doing so? People will never fall into our idea of what they "should do", and expecting them to do so just sets us up for disappointment.

Do what you want but if it's shitty I'll call it out.

Gatekeeping would be preventing someone from doing something. I'm not keeping anyone from being shitty. Just making it known.

I wish Bitcoiners hated YouTube and Spotify as much as they hate Twitter. Twitter is the only one you get shamed for using.

You would think bitcoiners were more principled but turns out lots of ppl are just larping for number go up.

More self hosting needed.

Yep and most people don't need to be doing video either.

Nostr is growing. This is good.

Freedom tech is not WHAT we build but HOW we build it. As long as end users have MAXIMAL choice, and a diversity of valid choices, end user sovereignty is maintained. THIS is freedom.

GIVEN THIS, all growth is beneficial. But yes, JUST THIS … is no small challenge.

Aye I'm all for the freedom. But being able to do anything doesn't mean you should.

Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence.

Bad actors (or at the very least bad behaviour) should be called out. That's how we keep absolute freedom from devolving into absolute anarchy.

Yes. This also.
