if you think of it in the way of "how many signals can i send at once in different directions and find this same endpoint" then it's about distance in dimensions
Maybe "social graph shallow concurrency" that oughta make it pretty clear to the average user

bandwidth is probably more accurate, or at least digging in the right direction
also makes me think about electrical resistance, thicker (more numerous) wires have lower resistance
that also suggests a way to calculate it if you use the same math as Ohm's Law
