Sounded a lot to me as well but CB has got 100m users alone. Yes, not all btc but add in other exchanges Binance kraken globally. It adds up.

When I heard someone at Bitcoin MENA today say, “600 million people have Bitcoin,” I couldn’t help but think, “WTF, lol.” Meanwhile, we probably have fewer than 50,000 people actually running a node.
