In this case maybe consider finishing the job locally and then lead the way with good examples because people who think they can piggyback their ideologies on the political and military influence of a dying empire into other cultures are risking to blow up the planet. As far as i can remember “freeing the women” in Afghanistan didn’t work out that well.

The problem with your thinking is that it implies that we will have masters no matter what. For the fear of foreign masters you refuse to shed your current ones accepting the status quo remaining in servitude to the lesser evil. In a scenario where your own government can’t have authority over you how do you expect the Chinese or the Russians to have it? Is a world where you answer to no one so unimaginable?

What did Putin and Xi do to ME?

Who is taxing ME right now?

Who is trying to divide MY society by race/gender/class?
