Yikes. If I had to choose, I would take the physical investment rather than one that only exists in a digital space, or at the very least, half and half.

Gold will always be of value somewhere, you just need to know where and sell it to them.

Kinda missing the point. There's a reason more people hold bitcoin rather than gold.

More people can afford to invest in bitcoin, thatโ€™s why. You can buy $5 in bitcoin every week, it will take some time to accrue, but it will continue to grow nonetheless. Have you ever tried to buy $5 in gold? ๐Ÿ˜…

You're making my point exactly. The properties of bitcoin are much better than those of gold. Why invest in an inferior investment? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bitcoin only exists in a digital space. So, while this obviously has benefits, it also means that itโ€™s only useable if you have access to the internet.

You may be able to get away with a few trades offline, but at some point you will need to reconnect to the blockchain.

Gold is tangible and the price per ounce can vary greatly, depending on where you are, offering you a faster way to make some profit if thatโ€™s your endgame.

Doubt that many Americans own real btc. Just paper btc on exchanges

it would be a shame if something happened to it in the name of national security

This is a big deal. Millennials vs Boomers right here. Or better yet more of a wealth transfer.
