People often have the misconception that the Free in FOSS is a reference to money, it's not. Anyone deeper in the FOSS ethos has heard the saying "free as in freedom". FOSS companies are absolutely within their right to charge for there services, the business model is simply different to proprietary models. It requires some creativity.
