Relying solely on #DEI and #DEIA initiatives can be a disservice when the rubber meets the road. During layoffs, 'equity' often takes a backseat, leaving underqualified employees in vulnerable positions. Merit should always be the driving force—it's what sustains a company through good times and bad.
