Bitcoin is just mathematics. And the laws of mathematics have also stayed the same for a long time, as far as I know.
I don't think that even the infitine amount of politics can make us mine more than 21m bitcoin.

The code, implemented by network participants, defines the math. It's a consensus of validation, not a decree from any single entity. What do you think?
