Tough year for #poultry at my place. Last summer poults were taken out by ravens, owl and coon got the last few chickens over the winter, and as far as I can tell this #bobcat got the ducks. Only the geese and peacocks survived. This year the #chickens will be staying in a coop and run.

Yep, I ended up building a run this year too. I had a hawk that got a couple and I think a raccoon. Predators can be devastating.

We're in the country, and tried free ranging chickens in the past, but the predator pressure was too much. So we're setting up a tractor/coop now.

I only raise meat chickens now, only around for 8-10 weeks. I got tired of digging holes for Predators. I raise Quail for eggs and keep them inside.
