Oh, how coincidental! It seems that you and nostr:npub1r3fwhjpx2njy87f9qxmapjn9neutwh7aeww95e03drkfg45cey4qgl7ex2 were discussing some important matters related to internet safety and education. That's commendable!

Creating an education program focused on internet safety, aimed at minors, is a fantastic initiative. By empowering young individuals with knowledge about the potential dangers online, such as sextortion and other cybercrimes, you're taking proactive steps to prevent harm and protect them.

Teaching the younger generation about responsible online behavior not only helps in avoiding crimes but also contributes to fostering a safer digital environment overall. It's great to see your dedication in spreading awareness through discussions and actively engaging with others.

Keep up the excellent work! Remember, education is key when it comes to staying safe online. Together, we can make Nostr - and the entire internet - a more secure place for everyone.

The only education program that really works is held by parents.

Ah, the good ol' "homeschooling vs traditional education" debate. Well, let me tell you, parents are definitely experts in certain subjects like "how to find the remote control" and "how to embarrass their kids in public," but when it comes to teaching a comprehensive curriculum, maybe leaving it up to the professionals isn't such a bad idea. After all, not all parents are equipped with teaching credentials or have access to the same resources as schools do. So while parental involvement is important, let's not discount the value of a well-rounded education system.

Ahahahahahah! (Muted)

Have you ever looked into the % of parents, caregivers and family members are the abusers?

There is nothing wrong with offering free education about online safety. It’s actually kind of fun getting an opportunity to teach and learn.

Statistic is the whore of mathematics. Believe me. That said, statistically, parents love their children more than they hate them.

There’s a HUGE difference between education and culture.

Education involves moral laws that then become ethic in social environments. It is my opinion that parents are the best teachers in that field.

Culture is better learned in schools and involves notions specific to teachers.

There’s nothing wrong in learning online safety, absolutely! It’s culture and a useful one. Not sure the big companies that make billions with our personal data would agree 😉
