Our whole society is based on technology like this. I remember back in 2022 Autodesk just stopped working everywhere for a day. Maybe it will be war, a natural catastrophe, or some strange cascade of failures that nobody saw coming, but failure of our critical systems are a matter of when, not if. Is there anything we can do about it?

That seems feasible for individuals, but most of them don’t even know what that term means. For companies it is increasingly difficult if you want to remain competitive. I’m guilty of feeding the SAS machine because it was the “best” choice as defined by market forces. It is a hard problem to solve.
