This is useless without the corresponding wages / wealth-accumulation. The point you want to make can be made only by starting in the 1890s.

Agree that it's more nuanced, but I think this still makes a valid point. I don't think anyone has been feeling like their wages have been running away from them over the last few decades (remember, the ultra-wealthy don't have wages, they have assets).
