One problem I see with AI and its ability to create convincing audio replication and images/videos is that soon, we won't know what is real without digital signatures/attestations.

Arguably this has been the case forever. Even first-hand witness statements are not reliable since it is well known that your brain fabricates a huge proportion of what you consider to be your perceptions, in order to facilitate predicting your environment.
Otherwise optical illusions, for instance, could not exist.
