After all these years, I'm still on the fence as to whether Bitcoin's transparency is flaw or feature.

It's a privacy concern for some users.

On the other hand, imagine your government on a Bitcoin standard, where all of their spending could be independently audited at any time. US DoD wouldn't have $2 trillion unaccounted for. 🤷

The Bitcoin chain is an honest accounting of transactions, for better or worse.

I think it's a flaw for obvious reasons, with that being said I don't think anything is perfect.

Selective reveal via signed message is good.

Payjoin by default is good.

Coinjoins & other similar privacy preserving aspects good.

Total amount transacted, available issued to be publicly known, also good. Verifiable cap is supremely important.
